Roster: Demian Ingerman (General), James Houser, Devon Ingerman, Tad Waddell, Mikey
Bell, Mike Bell, Cameron Guill, J. D. Sanders, Craig Mountain, Dennis Holshouser
Conditions: A
little warmer than expected but still great paintball weather. As for
the mosquitoes, that's another story.
Details: This was one of the best weekends
of paintball that I have had in a while. I was not feeling very well
all weekend but I still had a blast. Demian got to be the General
for this one and he was on the ball all game. Duncan, a writer from
Scenario News, was his XO and man did we learn a lot from him. I
got to run an Intel team and we completed every mission they could
throw at us. The Red Intel team tried some sneaky stuff but they
never got one over on us. This was Mike Bell's first game ever and
he just loves it. He said he would be back for more. Mikey got to
pull some great moves with the Atomic Ordnance Grenades that Kahuna
got for us. We felt like it was a close game going into the final
battle and we were right, we were about 80 points behind. The final
went every way except against us and we just dominated them. It ended
with Cam and me doing our nails next to the objective with the ref
laughing and wondering where the enemy was. We felt great coming
off the field only to find out that there was some type of scoring
error and that we lost by a pretty large amount. That's how it goes
sometimes. Still a great weekend of paintball.

Roster: Tad Waddell
(General), Demian Ingerman, Cameron Guill, Mikey Bell, J. D. Sanders,
Craig Mountain
Conditions: Hot,
Hot, Hot, Hot, Hot, and did I mention HOT!
Details: I was the General for Porkie's army at this game. For my first attempt at being
the General, I think it went pretty well. The field was too big for the number
of players we had, the weather was too hot to play, and the chickens haven't
been gone long enough. We played in several old chicken huts along with the
woods in between them. The field would have been great for around 150-200 players
but we only had 20, that's the total number not just my side. Our team made
up over half of the players present. Thankfully it was only a ten-hour game,
I don't think I could play much more than that in this heat. The missions were
good and the other players on my team were definitely go-getters. I had to tell
them several times to take it easy in the heat and to drink all the water they
could find. We did end up losing this game but that was our choice. We had a
little lead going into the final battle and held the objective most of the time.
One of my young guns, Keith, was making a great move up in the front and got
shot. Now did the other guys let the kid, he was only 10 or so, out of his bunker?
No, they kept shooting him, and when the ref covered him up, they started shooting
him too. When my team saw this we walked off the field to go check on our man,
Keith. He's all right and wants to play again, just not like that. Billy and
Georgia, from LCP, handled the situation, as the shooters were not there when
the prizes got handed out. Keith got the last laugh, walking away with a new
WGP Trilogy marker and all the gear he needs to play.

Roster: Tad Waddell, Demian Ingerman, James Ingerman, Mikey Bell,
Cameron Guill, Billy Dunn, Ben Dunn, Blake Dunn, Derek Crow, Wade Herndon,
J. D. Sanders, Craig Mountain, Dennis Holshouser, Terry Gillman, Mike
Gillman
Conditions: Saturday: Weather: Clear and warm; Field: Very, very wet
Sunday: Weather: Overcast and windy; Field: Still very wet
Saturday: After Checking in
with our general, T. B. Wright of Scenario
News , we stated rolling out on mission after mission. We
experienced continued success throughout the afternoon making several
deep runs into enemy territory and foiling several enemy missions.
I am unsure of when it happened but there was talk back at the camp
about Billy Dunn taking out two shield-carrying Knights. He used four
pods and a hopper while making them decide if they should protect their
heads or their feet. Also one team member, who will remain nameless,
attempted to help out the other side by taking out two friendly's in
the span of two minutes. I seem to remember being out front a whole
lot after that incident.
Night Game: Once the moon came up around 2130
hrs it was very easy to see even deep in the woods. I spent most of the
night camped out around “The
Corner.” If you have ever played Low
Country Paintball's field you know where I was. At one point during
the night game one ref decided that he was tired of getting shot at so
he decided to tell us that no body was near him. About this same time
we flushed out a sniper not twenty feet from him that he had not seen.
Remember, these refs have a hard job and get hardly any credit for all
the hard work they do. Everybody makes mistakes and they are no different.
I have to say that our newest members, J. D., Craig, and Dennis, did
a fine job of blending in and not getting shot, especially at night.
Sunday: This was a great morning. The weather had turned cool and the wind had
picked up just a little. We had enough wind to keep the mosquito's off our necks
but not enough to really affect our shots. We learned early on that the other
side had caught up with us a little during the night, so we headed out with the
plan that our squad would deny the other side points while other squads would
get the points for our side. There were several more trips made deep into enemy
territory this day with a few ending up right at the front step of the enemy's
base.
Final Battle: What a great thing this is, take close to 400 players
and restrict them to around 2-4 acres of land. Put one team in a fort
and let the other assault it for an hour. I live for the final battle
and this one was no let down. After a little preliminary taunting by
both sides the Red's came at us with all they had and while they did
almost surround us a few times only one player ever got close to our
base. He was attempting to blow it up only to find out that base-blows
are not allowed during the final battle, always pay attention to the
rules my friends. When the paint finally stopped flying our side stood
victorious inside the walls of our castle.
Score: I do not recall the exact numbers but our side won by about 1400
points.
